| Bathrooms: | Newly refurbished bathroom with bath tub and shower, WC and sink. Modern and tiled. |
| Kitchen: | The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with all pans and pots, plates, and cups and glasses you could need. There is also a new washing machine, gas cooker, fridge/freezer and space to eat. |
| Utility Room: | Off the kitchen is a walk-in cupboard/utility room where the washing machine is kept. The room is handy for storage. |
| Living Rooms: | The spacious lounge has a large, comfortable double sofabed, dining area for 4, stereo, cable TV and DVD player with numerous films on DVD. From the living room there are also double doors that lead on to the balcony, planted with herbs and flowers. |
| Other: | If you have an iPod you can make use of our iPod speakers! |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and bedding provided. There are no additional charges for towels or sheets, nor will there be a charge for cleaning. All of this will be covered by your rental payment. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment has an efficient gas central heating system. In the summer, however the flat is cool, in the winter cozy.
Outside
The apartment has a balcony where 2 people can sit and eat at the fold-down table. The balcony has window boxes planted with herbs and flowers. From here there is a view into the communal courtyard garden which is quiet and leafy.
Coast/Beach
You may be surprised to hear that Berlin has a number of beaches!! The beach centres have all facilities and are easily reached from the flat. Wannsee or Mueggelsee are our favourites. There are also hundreds of lakes around Berlin where you can go boating or swimming. In the summer Berlin also has a number of beach bars direct in the city! More info/directions on request.
Travel
No need for a car in Berlin. The transport system is excellent.
S-Bahn (urban train) and U-Bahn (underground) station is at the end of the road. From here it is very simple to get to all 3 airports. The underground station is on the same line as Rudow from where you can get a direct bus link to Schoenefeld Airport (SXF) and to Tegel (TXL) direct to Jakob-Kaiser-Platz then the buslink. Detailed directions given on request.
Distances
With the S-Bahn (suburban train system) from Yorckstrasse station, which is just 200 metres away, it is 4 minutes to Potsdamer Platz (shopping, sights, theatre) and a 10 minute journey to Oranienburger Strasse in Berlin Mitte (sights, bars, nightlife). From here it is equally easy to get to the centre of Berlin-West. All tourist information is provided in the apartment.
Further details
The neighbourhood around the flat is very friendly with some lovely, good value, family-run restaurants and cafes. Bergmannstrasse with its independent shops, great bars and cafes is within walking distance as is the well-known Winterfeldtplatz with its fantastic weekend market. Round the corner from here is Nollendorfplatz with its nightlife and boutique shops. And Potsdamer Platz is only 5 minutes away!

I really enjoyed my visit to berlin. the flat was very clean and tidy. i found the flat to be in a very quiet position ideal if you want to chill out but it was in an ideal location if you wanted to visit all the sites in berlin as it was only a 2 minute walk to the trains and buses. i did a lot of walking and found the location of the flat ideal for this. jeremy sugggested and had lots of info on what was local and was was not which i found all this very handy, especially the fabulous italian restaurant literally on my doorstep.i will definitely be using the flat again when i next visit berlin. thanks jeremy. - Tim H.
The appartment is well equipped, clean and comfortable in a quiet yet convenient location. The owner provided us with a lot of useful information on metro timetable, things to do and places to eat.
