The hostal has been a family run business since 1943 with guests returning for many years. It is furnished with a wonderful collection of antiques collected by the family over the years, with paintings of the local area by some well known Mallorquin painters. The hotel is decorated in traditional style with beautifully kept gardens which are set back from the road.

Notes on accommodation
No passing traffic as gardens are set back from the road. Family cats and dogs (no annoying barking!). A couple of wooden swings for the children.

Outside
Beautiful mature gardens, mountain and terracing behind the hotel. Terrace at the front of hotel with chairs and tables.

Coast/Beach
2 mins walk to the village beach at the bottom of the road or a pleasant stroll around the harbour to another beautiful beach. 10 minutes to the beach at Camp de Mar with restaurant on an island reached by footbridge. 15 minutes to the unspoilt beach of San Telmo -- great for snorkeling.

Golf
In Camp de Mar (7 mins drive through lovely pine tree lined coast road) there is the famous Andratx golf complex with competition 18 hole golf course Driving range and small pitch and put.. Also a Tennis club and squash courts 5 mins away.

Special interest holidays
Very good for walkers as there are many mountain paths nearby. Also suitable for cyclists, secure locked garage available for bikes, a great starting point for training bike rides.

Nearest Airport Palma de Mallorca- 35 mins by car (35km)
Car hire recommended to explore the beautiful surrounding areas.

Distances
2 mins walk into the centre of Puerto de Andratx. 10 mins drive to the market town of Andratx - can also be walked along a new walkway and back road (40 mins). Rustic unspoilt inland villages of S'Arraco (3km) and Capdellą (9km) 10 mins or so drive. Unspoilt family resort of San Telmo 15 mins 8km. Deią 3 villages on up the winding coast road. Shopping in Palma 30 mins.

Further details
2 well stocked supermarkets, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, Medical Centre, Post Office, various shops, local bars serving traditional Tapas. Very good weekly market every Wednesday in Andratx.
