Welcome to our Spanish home, a beautiful villa in stunning scenery situated on the peaceful north coast of the island, approx 30km from the airport. A small community of individual Spanish-style white villas and apartments overlooking the stunning coastline with its nearby sandy beach Cala Tirant and the crystal-clear Mediterranean. The detached villa is one of five overlooking the picturesque bay. Accommodation is on two floors with the main entrance leading into a bright, airy hall and a large open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen gives access to a secluded open-air barbecue area and a utility room. The lounge leads out to a large balcony terrace with fabulous views of the sea, there is also an open fireplace for the chillier months. Upstairs is the delightful main bedroom with en-suite shower-room. This bedroom opens out onto a large, private sun-terrace with amazing coastline sea views, the Cala Tirant headland and lighthouse.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Discounts available for long winter lets. A breakage bond of £100 is also required.
Changeover day
Flexible by arrangement as we are more than willing to cater for the more unusual arrival/departure and length of stay. Please ask as it maybe that your only available flights match with our other guests.

Main entrance is via a private entrance door and leads into a large open-plan lounge with a dining area and kitchen. The lounge gives access to a hall with doors which lead into the two twin-bedded bedrooms and the comfortable bathroom. The kitchen is fully furnished with a twin ceramic hob, electric ovenette, fridge, microwave, electric kettle and toaster, cutlery, crockery, utensils and glasses. |

Notes on accommodation
Adults and children will find these two residences extremely comfortable and well equiped. Families even with smaller kids can enjoy the safe, quiet environment.
Accessibility
Being built on a rugged hillside the property does not immediately suit persons with mobility difficulties but if you can walk with relative ease you will enjoy everything.
Outside
The villa has two large terraces and is surrounded by its own gardens. The apartment has a patio for dining alfresco. Our friendly local restaurant and bar with its fantastic swimming pool is 50 metres away. The stunning fishing village of Fornells is within gentle walking distance around the dramatic coastal or 5 minutes by car. In season there are several small supermarkets on the complex selling everything you could possibly need. There are also a number of bars and restaurants serving food and refreshments all day.
Coast/Beach
The sea with its striking volcanic rock shoreline is a 2 minute stroll. Swimming and snorkeling are fabulous here (although you will need to protect your feet!). Absolutely amazing fish shoals cloud the water with an abundance of colour. The adjacent beautiful sandy beach of Cala Tirant provides safe swimming for all ages and is only a 5/10 min walk away. There are literally hundreds of beautiful beaches (many virtually deserted) around the island but for these the use of a car is recommended.
Golf
An golf course open to non-members is in the next town around the coast and can be easily reached by car in under 20 minutes. Full equipment hire is available.
Special interest holidays
Within 10 minutes walking there are sailboarding, scuba diving and kite surfing clubs which include training and hire. There is no need to pre-book, just turn up and go.
Travel
Mahon airport and the seaport of Mahon are approx 30 mins drive, the seaport of Cuitadella is about 45 mins. Car hire is recommended but not essential as local bus and regular coach routes exist. Buses are surprisingly frequent and cheap and they run on time too!
Distances
The quaint fishing village of Fornells is 5 minutes by car and has excellent restaurants. Es Mercadel, the nearby market town is approx 5km away and is a slightly larger with a variety of shops, bars and amazing restaurants.
Further details
There are several supermarkets, bars, restaurants and a bakery on the community during the season, all within easy reach on foot. If you do not feel the need to hire a car and wish to just revel in the local community then this area is ideal.

Guest comments
The villa was great, very clean and comfortable for a family of 5 such as ourselves. The views from both balconies were outstanding and the surrounding area was peaceful, I commented to my wife on a number of occasions about the complete lack of any traffic noise, something we lack in our country. (WJ August 2008)
