This picturesque independent accommodation is part of a 6.5 hectare working organic farm located about 2.5km from the traditional Mallorcan village of Llubi, a village with no tourists but all the amenities. Being central on the island it is well placed to explore in any direction including the many spectacular mountain hikes Mallorca has to offer. The rooms are compact but very luxuriously furnished. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. The accommodation has its own large garden with sun loungers, terrace and state of the art gas barbecue. Guests enjoy regular fresh farm treats and have access to the organic shop daily. This unique rural property has the external ambiance of a secluded wooden cottage but offers new and modern internal convenience. 3 people can live comfortably in its 2 bedrooms. Our fresh water reservoir offers some of the best swimming in Mallorca.

Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has a single bed 2m long. |
| Bathrooms: | Inside bathroom has multi head shower enclosure, sink and wc. There is an additional shower room accessed from outside. |
| Kitchen: | Hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee grinder and pot, toaster, food mixer. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machines, iron and ironing board, spare linen cupboard, sports equipment and freezer space. |
| Living Rooms: | Leather sofa and armchair, large flat screen TV, DVD, stereo, cupboard with games etc, table for bad weather. The ceilings throughout are quite low so this house is not suitable for the extremely tall. |
| Other: | Covered deck with main dining area and general seating. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Ample towels and linen are available in the house. Dirty towels can be left in the laundry room as desired. Linen is changed weekly or as agreed. Linens are organic and 100% cotton. All bottom sheets are fitted. All beds supplied with duvets. |
Notes on accommodation
Some electric heating available, fans could be provided upon request. Hot water and external lighting are all solar powered.
Son Barrina is a working organic farm with friendly animals, including two very friendly dogs and lots of space. Children are very welcome.
Our water reservoir doubles as a wonderful fresh water pool, much like a lake, a pool for swimmers only being 4m deep, a pool you are welcome to share with us. A sandy area with net for badminton and volleyball and bicycles will all help keep you active if you desire.
Son Barrina also boasts the largest organic shop on the island with products from England, Germany, Holland, Italy and Spain, as well as the bio-dynamically produced produce from the farm. We have 2 cows, Hilda and Daisy, as well as 4 sheep, 2 dogs, chickens, ducks and cats.

Accessibility
Sadly there are two steps up to the deck and and another to the house so therefore it is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Outside
Around the cottage is a large garden exclusively for the cottage. Deck chairs are there for soaking up the sun or lazing in the shade. A new state of the art gas barbecue stands right beside the deck. Although central in the farm the cottage is nicely tucked behind the shop buildings giving it total peace and relative seclusion.
Travel
Son Barrina is about a 15 min walk down a quiet country lane to the train station. This train currently runs between Palma and Sa Pobla. By changing trains in Inca you can also reach Manacor and by changing in Palma you can reach Soller. Therefore it is totally possible, although more restrictive, to stay here without renting a car.
Palma airport is about 38km away. For those not wishing to rent a car we can arrange airport collection but this will be charged separately.
Distances
Son Barrina is about 2.5km from the nearest village of Llubi and about 6km from Inca. It is situated very centrally on the island and most places can be reached within half an hour by car. The nearest beach is about 20km.
Further details
For those unable to completely shut off faxes can be sent and rec'd in the shop. Wireless internet is available. In addition the shop has an internet based telephone which can be used free of charge to most countries.
The cottage is perfect for winter hiking and cycling holidays. There is also a complete gym, equipped with a variety of quality machines as well as a selection of free weights etc.
Booking notes
30% deposit required to secure the booking. Balance payable prior to or upon arrival. A damage deposit of euros 150 is also payable upon arrival.
