The finca is located in the heart of the traditional rural Mallorca near the mountains, but just 3kms from the lovely town of Alaro and 25 mins from Palma. Alaro has shops, bars, good restaurants and a big Saturday market. The finca is bang in the centre of the island and a five minute drive to the motorway which will take you easily to any of the beaches near Palma, Alcudia, or Pollensa. It is in the heart of wine-growing country and is in walking distance of the nearest vineyard. There are beautiful walks through the mountains nearby and is an ideal location for exploring the secret unchanged Mallorca.

Notes on accommodation
This is our only property on offer and is a holiday home from home where we both work as writers. We have young children and are set up for babies and kids with both a cot and travel cot with mattresses, buggy, sterilizer etc, if needed. The pool is set apart from the house. We have a table tennis table with bats and balls, a dart board and lots of board games. This is a very traditional quirky property with lots of personal touches. If you're looking for somewhere manicured with sprinklered lawns, this isn't it. This is comfortable, but basic and slightly bohemian, but the real authentic traditional Mallorcan experience. Ideal for people who want to chill out with beautiful views.

Accessibility
The property is situated down a bumpy lane, but most of the accommodation is on the ground floor, so access isn't a problem.
Outside
Garden table and chairs under two giant palm trees to the front of the property. At the back is a wooden table and chairs by the barbecue area, shaded by large pine trees. The pool is safely fenced and gated and is a traditional Mallorcan plunge pool, measuring 3 metres by 5 metres and is roughly 1 metre and a half deep. It has pool steps. It has a pump and is easily maintained. Above the pool is a seating area with a view of the mountains.
Coast/Beach
35 mins drive to the charming beach at Cala St Vincente.
40 mins drive to the beaches at Pollensa and Alcudia.
40 mins drive to the beaches in Palma near Portixol.
Travel
25 mins drive from Palma Airport.
Distances
3kms to town of Alaro. 3kms to town of Llosseta. 5kms from Santa Maria and Binasallem - two of the top wine growing towns. A short drive from the ancient hilltop town of Orient with its traditional restaurants.
Further details
Alaro has seven bars and several very good local restaurants. It has banks and two supermarkets and provisions stores, some open on Sundays. It has a big market on Saturday morning, with local fruit and vegetable sellers.
