Changeover day
All bookings are generally from Saturday to Saturday, but we can be flexible. The apartment must be vacated by 12:00 a.m. on day of departure for cleaning purposes. And can only be accessed after 3:00 p.m.

Coast/Beach
Cala Mandia is a quiet low-rise resort with a few bars and restaurants. There are two Hotels with different evening programmes just a stroll away. Overall, it is a good base if you want somewhere away from the hustle and bustle but with all the facilities, and would like to use it as a central starting point for island excursions. Cala Mandia also has numerous tennis courts and there is a Scuba Diving school at the beach.
By car is the best way to explore this beautiful exotic island.
Travel
Hop on the tourist train (stops 100m form the apartment), this will take you in to Porto Cristo, which has lots of nice shops to look around. From Porto Cristo you can get a bus to almost anywhere on the Island. The tourist train cost € 2.70 per person and includes the return trip. If you choose to get a taxi to and from Porto Cristo it will cost around € 8.00 each way.
Distances
It takes around 1 hour to transfer from the airport, and a taxi will cost appox. 70.00 euros one way.
Further details
There are three sandy beaches. All are beautiful and very safe for children. Cala Mandia has been awarded the blue flag for water quality. There are also boat trips along the local coastline. You can take a 2 hour round trip to Porto Cristo. The boat stops half way and lets the passengers have a dip in the sea. A real treat. Recommended are also trips to Son Amar and Marineland.
Booking notes
There is a 25% non-refundable deposit payable upon booking with the full balance due 6 weeks before your departure. For last-minute bookings the total amount is payable immediately. There is a 75 euros refundable deposit required when the key is handed over. At the end of the rental period the client will be required to pay a fee of 80 euros (for 2 adults and 2 children) to cover the costs for the clean bed linen, towels etc. and end cleaning of the apartment.
