Villa Claudia is a beautiful, modern villa with all the comforts of home, plus all the delights of Costa Teguise a short stroll away. The villa consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, patio and outside eating area plus private heated pool. The pool and patio area is situated at the back of the house surrounded by high walls, which provide both privacy and security. The villa is in a very quiet position but is only 5 minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants and maybe 8 minutes walk from one of Lanzarote´s most beautiful beaches. We would recommend hiring a car, as it is very inexpensive and you can see almost all of the island in a few days. Although if driving abroad is not your thing, there are organised tours around the island almost every day. Water sports, cycle and quad bike hire, golf, water park are all available nearby to the active tourist, sun loungers, beaches and pubs for those of you who prefer a more restful holiday.

Notes on prices
Prices are shown for the property per week in UK Pounds. Children under 2 go free at all times, a cot and highchair are provided free of charge. Special rates available at non-peak periods or for longer than 2 week rentals, we are happy to price match, contact me for info!

Changeover day
Thursday is the main changeover day on the island, allowing access to cheaper and greater availability of flights. In the quieter times other days may be considered, please do not hesitate to ask.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
Fans or heaters can be provided if required (15/20 Euros/week. The villa is very suitable to young children and the elderly as there is only the one level. The pool and patio area are completely private and enclosed.

Amenities/Facilities provided

 

Outside
The patio and pool area are completely enclosed and private. Sun loungers with comfortable cushions and beach towels are provided. The 5m x 3m pool is both solar and electrically heated to ensure the pool temperature is always comfortable. There is also a dining table and six chairs for al fresco dining. A gas BBQ and utensils are available for your use.

Coast/Beach
The closest beach to the villa is Las Cucharas and is about 5 - 8 minutes walk away. There you can find windsurfing, surfing and diving facilities. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for hire. Famara Beach is about 15 mins by car and is the main surfing area. Nudist beaches can also be found along the coast.

Golf
A lush green 18-hole golf course with views of volcanoes and the ocean in the background, in a climate which allows you to play all year round, what more could you ask for. Costa Teguise Golf Course is currently the only golf course in Lanzarote and is only five minutes by car from Villa Claudia. It is a 72 par course which ranges in length from 4938 metres to 6041 metres at its longest. A full range of golf equipment is available for hire, from half and full sets of clubs to golf buggies. The course has a resident pro offering both private and group lessons. It also has an excellent clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant and coffee bar.

Special interest holidays
Being surrounded by water, all water related sports are catered for. Windsurfing and surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling are very popular and courses for these are available. Professional surf competitions take place every year (usually in October) in Famara which is about 15 mins away by car. La Santa sports training complex is also a short drive away. Cookery and painting courses are on offer all year round.

Travel
Arrecife Airport is about 15 to 20 minutes by car. An airport pick-up and drop-off service is available on request. Car hire is not essential but we would recommend that hiring a car for a few days is a good idea. Lanzarote is a beautiful island with many interesting places to see, and with the benefit of a car can be enjoyed at your leisure.

Distances
Costa Teguise is situated on the coast in the central part of the island. Arrecife the capital is 10 mins away by car. Teguise itself, which used to be the capital is about 15 mins away. It is a beautiful quiet village, except on Sundays when the market is on. Playa Blanca is a comfortable 45 minute drive away where you can catch the ferry to Fuertaventura.

Further details
Costa Teguise has everything you will need on holiday. There are supermarkets, restaurants and bars on your doorstep. In the local square, El Pueblo Marinero, every Friday evening there is a local market (a smaller version of the Sunday market), where you can purchase local art and gifts. Many of the bars have live music and all are child friendly. Both smoking and non smoking restaurants and bars are available.

A 10% deposit is required at time of booking with balance due 6 weeks prior departure. Payment will be made directly into our UK bank account, the reference number supplied by us at time of booking.
