Casa Maranda is located in the lovely resort of Playa Blanca, on the southern most tip of Lanzarote. The villa is in a prime frontal location in a quiet residential area. The terrace faces south and makes a great spot for enjoying a long drink whilst watching the view across the straits of La Bocaina to Fuerteventura, just a short ferry trip away. Casa Maranda is a luxury villa, completed in August 2006 with marble floors throughout and has been furnished to a high standard and sleeps 6 plus infant. The villa enjoys its own heated pool which ensures water temperatures of around 28c, there is also a 7 seater hottub/Jacuzzi heating to 38c. Approx 150m from spectacular coastline and the coastal path which leads into the town. The villa makes a great base for a family holiday. Accommodation consists of a large entrance hall, master bedroom with en-suite, twin bedroom, family bathroom, well equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area and second lounge. The garden is enclosed and safe.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Prices are based on 4 people sharing. Please add a further £30 per additional person up to a maximum of 6 people (plus infant). Children under 5 are free. The pool heater, highchair and cot are all included in the price.If the hot tub is required it will be a additional £65 per week to cover cleaning, heating, water and chemicals. Discounts long winter lets. There is a bond of £100 per rental which will be return when the villa has been checked.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Arrive after 2pm and depart by 10am, please ask if you need to stay later if you have a evening flight(if possible), this would be at no extra charge.

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is spacious and well fitted with good quality equipment throughout. We provide cot (we have 2 if 2 needed), highchair and bed guard all free of charge. The villa is also equipped with a turtle alarm for the swimming pool (child alarm for extra safety around the pool). There is a large information folder within the villa which is there to help guests with the locations of good places to eat out, local shops, places of intrest, things to do, where you can get a good takeaway and other local information that may be of use on your holiday. Accessibility
The floorplan is on one level making ideal for the elderly, infirm and children. The villa has private parking within its grounds and the surrounding area is level and very accessible. The swimming pool has a handrail at the steps to help access into/out of the pool.
Outside
Large south facing terraces complete with a 7 seater hot tub/Jacuzzi (with 40 jets and mood lighting to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening),heated pool set to maintain a temperature around 28c, large garden which is completely walled creating an enclosed space for young children and very safe. Ample outdoor seating and loungers (private to sunbathe). Please note one of the special features of the villa is that the pool is treated with a natural salt system which reduces the harmful effects of chlorine on your skin/eyes. This is a natural water treatment process and is especially good for children or people with sensitive skin. You should be aware that very few other villas have this system installed. There are spaces for 2 cars outside the villa. Artficial grass - for the children to play on safely and a wooden climbing frame with slide and 2 swings - to keep them amused, why you can relax in the sun. Swinging wooden hammock - to sit and admire the sea views and sunsets.
Coast/Beach
Rugged coastline and paved coastal path 2 mins walk. It is possible to walk into Playa Blanca along the coastal path, which is paved and suitable for pushchairs, a slow walk takes about 35 mins. It offers plenty of opportunity to stop for refreshment and the views can make the walk take a lot longer! Nearest beach 5 mins drive, famous Papagayo beaches 10 mins. Playa Blanca has a number of small cove like beaches within the resort area which are ideal for children. Short walk to local lighthouse.
Golf
Golf 40 mins drive. The proposed golf course is 5 mins drive away.
Special interest holidays
There are 3 dive schools within walking distance of the villa.
There is bike rental available in Playa Blanca.
The costal path runs from one end of Playa Blanca to the other, with great sea veiws all the way, ideal for keen walkers.
Travel
Arrecife airport 30 mins. Car hire recommended for easy access to main resort and supermarkets. Local car hire charges are reasonable. We recommended using other days other than Thursday (Thursday is the main changeover day), as you get better deals on flights and it is a lot less stressful making you way through the airport and collecting your car. There are flights going to Lanzarote on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesday's and Thursday's.
Distances
A small selection of shops/restaurants are within a 7 mins walk of the property where you can purchase all your holiday essentials. In the same location there are 2 bars which are a great place to unwind and meet other people. The spectacular coastline is just a 3 minute walk from the villa and is a must visit during your stay. Playa Blanca 3km or 5 mins drive. A taxi ride into Playa Blanca is approx 3 euros.New bus service faro park pick up/drop off.1.5 euro stay on as long as you like.
Further details
Playa Blanca is a relaxed family resort and now has a new multi million pound marina. There is relaxed traffic free shopping in the pedestrianised high street, behind the sea front restaurants. There is a choice of supermarkets within the main resort.
There is be a Playstation 2 ready for the children's holidays.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking with the remaining 75% becoming due 8 weeks prior to the holiday commencing. Booking Restrictions: no stag/hen party groups. No smoking inside the villa.
