Beyond the electrically heated swimming pool is a lovely garden with Canarian plants and flowers. Playa Blanca with its good selection of restaurants and shops is a 5 minute drive away. The newly built Rubicon Marina is approximately 1 mile away.

Changeover day
Now that there are many flights going in and out of Lanzarote we have a flexible changeover day.

Children are welcome, no pets, and no smoking inside the villa.

local No problem with laptop if its got a usb port I have a wireless usb transmitter, so can configure it to work, either with me or xp.
There is a company that offers a mobile connection and charges 60euros per week.
I would think 28 euros p/wk,(£20) seems fair for 24hour/7 connection?
Outside
Lovely 7.5m x 3.5m private heated pool that provides a constant water temperature all year round. The pool has a Roman end with steps leading into it. Outside shower. Sun loungers and barbecue area. The garden has stunning mountain views and is completely private.
Coast/Beach
Within Playa Blanca there are a number of sandy beaches. The white beach in the very centre of the town, from which Playa Blanca gets it's name, has been awarded a European 'blue flag' - a tribute to it's cleanliness. Playa Flamingo beach a few minutes walk to the west, is a very attractive and safe beach suitable for families. Playa Dorada, a few minutes walk in the opposite direction, is my own favourite - another 'blue flag' beach - ideal for early morning swimmers.
Golf
Golf course (Campo del golf) located on the outskirts of Costa Teguise approximately 40 minutes drive.
Travel
There are daily ferry crossings to Fuerteventura from Playa Blanca.
Timanfaya National Park (Fire Mountain) is a 15 minute car journey away, as is El Golfo a beautiful green lagoon.
Distances
Playa Blanca with its good selection of restaurants and shops is a 5 minute drive away. The newly built Rubicon Marina is approximately 1 mile away. Lanzarote is a small island only 35 miles long and 14 miles wide with reasonable roads which makes exploring the places of interest relatively easy.
Further details
Lanzarote has many places of interest and is often described as magical with its unusual and spectacular landscape, dramatic mountains alternating with sweeping plains interspersed with whitewashed villages. A guide book is provided in the villa giving details of places to visit. Amongst these we would recommend the tour of the Montanas del Fuego (Mountains of Fire) a fascinating, atmospheric experience within the Timanfaya National Park.
Development of the island is low level and has been closely monitored to prevent the island from becoming spoilt. The influence of the late Cesar Manrique, Lanzarote’s artist, designer and conservationist has contributed to this. Lanzarote was declared a "world reserve of the biosphere" by Unesco in 1992.

Guest comments
The villa is a well appointed semi detached in a very nice quiet residential area of Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca is in my view the best resort on the island for families - it also has the best weather in winter.
The villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The best feature of the place has to be the heated pool, which is a real bonus in winter - I doubt you could use an unheated pool in the Canaries in winter. The villa has all the mod cons - dishwasher, tv, dvd.
There was a handy local guide, and the property managers, who live a stone's throw away, are very helpful and friendly.
The villa is about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the local facilities and the beach - we would recommend hiring a car to explore the island if nothing else, but it is not an absolute must if you are happy with one using the one beach and the pool.
