Situated on a quiet, relaxed and tranquil corner of Grand Cayman Island, the East End is your chance to experience true Caymanian hospitality. Many fantastic restaurants nearby, from places frequented by the locals to fine-dining, and everything in between. Or have meals at home in the fully equipped kitchen. Barbecue out on the patio by the pool (which is steps from your patio). We are 2 minutes away from one of the best scuba diving operators on the island - Ocean Frontiers. Ideal for families, or friends getting together. Elderly guests or teenagers will appreciate the main floor bedroom with full en suite bathroom. Just a 45 minute drive from the airport. The loft is great as an extra bedroom, or a place where you can gather to watch TV and DVDs (in addition to the main floor, which has a TV and DVD too). Very reasonably priced. Spotlessly clean. Changeover day
Most people do the changeover on the weekends, but we know planes arrive every single day of the week. Check-out is 9:00am and check-in is 4:00pm. If you need other arrangements, just let us know - we'll try to work things out so everyone is :-)

Suitable for many groups, 2 or 3 couples sharing, or families sharing or a single family. Note: one of the swimming pools is only 1m deep, so it is ideal for children or non-swimmers (but too deep to be called a "kiddie" pool).

Accessibility
Ideal for guests with mobility problems because of the main floor bedroom (twin beds) with its own en suite with a large shower. There is a 4" ledge to step over in the shower, so it is not really wheelchair accessible.
Outside
Patio with 4 comfortable chairs just outside the dining room, and overlooking the pool. On the 2nd floor, there is a large balcony overlooking the pool, with 2 lounge chairs and a table, with a walk-out from both bedrooms. Ideal for reading, suntanning, or just a quiet place for a cuppa.
We also have 4 lounge chairs to be used by the pool, or on the beach (but you have to bring them back from the beach if you take them to the beach, which is just across the street)
Coast/Beach
The beach is literally across the street - 200 steps. It is a natural beach and is combed only two or three times a year. Therefore, there will be a lot of shells, some rocks, some coral and some seaweed. Children should, therefore, wear little swimming shoes in the water. There is a regularly combed beautiful public beach 5 minutes away (15 minutes if you walk). Also, the entire East End is surrounded by a coral reef, meaning the water inside is a lot calmer.

Travel
The one and only airport on the island is Owen Roberts International, a 45 minute drive from our villa. There are 5 direct flights a week from Britain (on British Airways) although there are a multitude of possibilities if you travel to the USA first (would probably be cheaper too). Try kayak.com to search. You do need to rent a car - we have a discount for our guests with one of the rental agencies. Details provided with each booking.
Distances
We are in the village of East End. Georgetown is a 40 minute drive, 7 mile beach is about a 50 minute drive.
Further details
The East End is known for its snorkelling and scuba diving. There are 2 very well known and reputable dive operators within a 5 minute drive of our villa: Ocean Frontiers (2 min) and Red Sail Sports.
"The Barefoot Man" a Caymanian musician, plays 1-2 nights a week for dinner/show just 5 minutes from us, and is a "Must See". Hilarious lyrics, (sounds similar to John Denver), but more adult-oriented (in other words, leave the kids at home). Yes, we can arrange babysitting! One of the most famous restaurants on the island, "Lighthouse" is 15 minutes from us. World-famous "Stingray City" another absolutely must do - is a 20 minute drive from us - at Rum Point. Like fishing? Herman's fishing charters is highly recommended (and he's one of our neighbours in our complex). He will not only take you fishing all afternoon, but come home with you and cook a gourmet seafood meal, while you sip a glass of wine and discuss the "one that got away". Your week will be as busy or as relaxing as you want.
Booking notes
We take a 25% deposit upon booking. This is non-refundable, but transferable. The balance is due 45 days before arrival. There is a 10% Cayman Accommodation tax charged on all rentals. We accept Visa, Mastercard & Amex. If you cancel within 45 days of arriving, we will issue a refund only if we are able to re-book the property - and will make every possible effort to do so. We know if we treat potential guests well, they will come at a later date!
