Outside
Well established garden - bougainvillea, jasmine, hibiscus, fruit trees, palms, herbs and lots of other bushes. Large patio with table for 6 under bamboo -covered pergola, giving the ideal amount of shade for eating outside at any time. Private 8 x 4m pool with underwater illumination and exterior lighting around pool. Outside shower. Large paved area around pool. 6 sun loungers + 2 umbrellas. Lilos + lifebelt. Cypriot-style barbecue with illumination for night time use. Twin retractable washing lines. Shed for storing all pool equipment. Broom cupboard + barbecue tools. The pool will be cleaned twice weekly and the garden maintained in good order.
Coast/Beach
10 min walk to nearest beach, but better beaches all the way into Ayia Napa. Nearest good beach is Ayia Thekla beach by the little church, which has a lifeguard during the summer season and is usually quiet. Other good beaches are Landa beach/Golden bay, Macronissos beach and Nissi beach, all of which are signposted on your way into Ayia Napa. Most of the beaches have paved paths between them for nice walks. Lots of nice walks and cycle paths around Cape Greko and horse riding.
Skiing
Skiing in the Troodos mountains during the winter.
Travel
Nearest Airport Larnaca 35 mins easy drive with little traffic. Also pick-ups and returns from airport, as well as car hire, can be arranged (payable locally). Car recommended. Welcome packs available. Basic water, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter & jam. 26 euros. Luxury: All items as Basic plus, bacon, eggs & wine. 35 euros. Payable on arrival.
Distances
Nearest village Xylafagou - less than 10 min drive with supermarket, butchers shop a bakery. Mini mart 7 mins walk. Larger supermarket open 7 days 5 mins drive Paralimni 15-20 mins drive, for banks, large Carrefour, local supermarket + fish market.
Protaras 20 min drive - bars, Dancing Waters [spectacular fountains.
Ayia Napa 10 min drive - bars, night clubs, lots of restaurants, such as Traditional Greek Tavernas, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Fijian, lots of others.
Further details
If you prefer somewhere quieter to eat we have 2 restaurants specializing in fresh fish at the local picturesque Potamos creek [5 mins drive or you could walk in about 20 mins] where you can watch the fishing boats coming in and out. The furthest one is on a lovely quiet beach. There are also lots of good restaurants in the nearby villages which offer better value for money. 'Waterworld' fun park with water slides etc is only 5 minutes drive away and also go-carting, bikes, scooters, quad bikes and beach buggies can be hired locally. In Ayia Napa you will find all the water sports that you would want plus bungee jumping. There are also boat trips that go from Ayia Napa's attractive small harbour, several going to look at the huge sea caves around Cape Greko and then on to the 'Ghost town' of Famagusta, with stops for swimming and snorkeling, some including lunch at very reasonable prices. Up the hill from the harbour is the lovely old monastery of Ayia Napa, with a secluded garden. Many summer evenings craft markets are held in the square just outside the walls.
Why not visit the beautiful Troodos Mountains? One of the nearest Villages, Lefkara is only an hour and a half drive away and is typical of an old Cypriot village, with pretty stone houses with balconies and narrow streets and tiny churches. Here they make lace and silver filigree jewellery, which you can purchase in the shops. There are also bus tours which go from Ayia Napa to the Troodos mountains, Nicosia, Pafos, the rugged Akamas Peninsular and many other places of interest, including over the border to North Cyprus.
We have a comprehensive villa book giving information on taxis, shops, restaurants, medical facilities, emergency phone numbers, etc, which we are continually updating, as well as a folder with information on local amenities, places of interest, tours, maps, etc. Our English management team are nearby to deal with any concerns you may have.
Booking notes
A 20% non refundable deposit will be required at the time of booking. Booking will only be confirmed on receipt of the deposit and completed booking form. With the final balance + £150 security deposit to cover damage and breakages [returnable within 7days after property check] to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Families and Mixed parties only.
Cancellation refunds: More than 8 weeks 20% [your deposit]. 4-8 weeks - 50% refund. 2-4 weeks - 25% refund. Less than 2 weeks - no refund.
