This light and airy 2 bedroom apartment is well furnished in a modern style. In the growing fishing village of Cabanas the apartment is close to the sea front, restaurants, shops, bus stop and cash points. A pool is at the rear of the apt. A car, though desirable, is not essential. A small ferry boat will transport visitors across the lagoon to a long sandy beach in 2 mins. The apartment is fully equipped for a short or extended stay. The balcony has railings and a bamboo screen, for safety and privacy.

Bathrooms: Bathroom with overbath shower, W.C. bidet.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine, iron, extractor. Opens into living room also with patio doors onto balcony.
Living Rooms: Good size living room with sofa bed, dining area. TV.(Portuguese channels) & DVD player. Air conditioning.
West facing patio doors and single door onto balcony.
Other: Balcony-west facing with chairs & table. Open outlook with screen.
Hallway with space for golf clubs etc., video entry phone.
Inner hall with smoke alarm.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels & linen are included and changed after one week stay.

 

Notes on accommodation
Caution: All 3 main rooms have patio doors with open railings guarding them, the same railings on the balcony. All patio doors have locks to lock ajar for ventilation and child safety. These locks need to be used for security and proper supervision for very young children. Smoking: For the comfort of all our guests we ask that there is no smoking in the apartment except on the balcony. Heating: There are 2 portable oil filled radiators and a radiant fire for use in the cooler months. Air con heat is available in the winter months in the lounge. Gas, water and electricity are included in the price except for winter long lets.

Outside
There is plenty of parking on the quiet road below the apartment. Shared pool 18x8m approx. with landscaped gardens and paved areas. A well equipped children's play area has now been provided. A bar and a restaurant is now on the complex.

Coast/Beach
A five minute walk will bring you to the sea front and a small motor boat ferry for the one minute trip to the main offshore beach. This has all facilities and is long enough to find your own empty patch of sand. A variety of other beaches and a nature reserve are just a short drive away.

Golf
There are six top quality golf courses a short drive away:
Benamor less than 5 mins par 71.
Quinta da Cima less than 10 mins par 72.
Quinta da Ria less than 10 mins par 72.
Castro Marim (our favourite) less than 25 mins par 72.

Travel
From Faro Airport a forty mins drive by car, mostly on the relatively quiet motorway. The Spanish border is 25 mins. drive where the motorway bridge will take you over the Guadiana River into Spain.

A further 1 hour or so to historic (and hot) Seville.
The ferry from V. Real is a pleasant alternative to access Ayamonte. A bus stop for Tavira is 200 meters, and a train station is 1.0 kms in Conceicao, the bus stops there.
The train travels from the Spanish Border to Faro, Lisbon & beyond.

Distances
The motorway IP1/A22 now runs the length of the Algarve making day trips west an easy option. The nearest water slide park is an hour by car. Transfers from the airport can be arranged at competetive rates. A drive into the hills & countryside is delightful, as is a journey up to historic Alcoutim on the riverside road, for lunch.
