Ideal for all year round rentals, this cosy 1 bedroom apartment has fantastic views overlooking the sea and the picturesque village of Salema. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants (many of which are now open throughout the year). There are beautiful coastal walks in the surrounding natural park, Parque de Floresta (for golf, swimming, gym, spa etc.) is 2km away and the historic town of Lagos is a 15 min. drive.

Prices are based on 2 people and can be paid in either sterling or euros. Minimum stay four nights.
For rentals longer than two weeks, please contact us for a reduced price.
If you would like to stay both by the coast and in the mountains we are able to offer a two week holiday both in the apartment in Salema and in a farmhouse in the Monchique mountains (please see property P2773) for 400 euros (winter), 550 euros (autumn/spring) 700 euros (high summer).
Changeover day
Flexible. We request that clients leave the property by midday on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is ideal for one or two people but a sofa bed is available for a third person. Due to stairs leading up to the apartment, the accommodation is not ideal for young children. There are four apartments on the one level of the apartment block and the walkway along the terrace is shared. The apartment can be heated and is suitable for winter rentals.

Coast/Beach
As well as the beautiful beach of Salema (blue flag status) which is a 5 min. walk from the apartment, there are many secluded beaches in the vicinity (both within walking distance and driving). There is a possibility to go on boat trips from Salema (summer only) and/or walk through the National Park. The West coast (good for surfing) is a short drive away (15-30 mins).
Golf
Parque de Floresta Golf & Leisure resort is a 5 min. drive. You can use facilities (including swimming pools) on a pay as you go basis.
Travel
Faro airport is approximately 1 hour away on the new dual carriageway. Car hire is recommended although there are regular trains to Lagos, followed by bus/taxi to Salema. Lisbon is about 3 hours drive on the dual carriageway.

Approximate distances by car:
Lagos - 15-20 mins. Cape St. Vincent - 15-20 mins. Aljezur - 30 mins. Silves - 30 mins. Monchique and mountains - 1 hour.
Further details
Salema has several small supermarkets, tourist shops and local stalls, 7 restaurants and several bars (some close in winter). There is a small supermarket very close to the apartment and an ATM cash machine in the village.
