Casa Alfarroba is an air conditioned country villa with its own infinity pool set in a hectare of land. The property has 4 bedrooms (3 en-suite) and a further family bathroom. Its reversible air conditioning, oil filled radiators and wood burning stove make it an ideal holiday destination throughout the year. There is a well furnished lounge/dining room with TV, DVD and music centre. There is a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave and dishwasher. Bed linen and bathroom towels provided. A car is essential. The formal garden area of 3500 sq m is protected by a fence and electronic gates. It contains a 10 x 5 metre infinity pool, a garden chess set, a substantial sun terrace and BBQ. There is a secluded balcony accessed from both upstairs bedrooms and a shaded veranda overlooking the pool. The tennis court is outside the formal garden area. The airport is only 17km away; motorway access is just 6km away giving easy access to the entire Algarve region.

Notes on accommodation
Each bedroom and the lounge/dining room have individually controlled air conditioning unit. For the winter months there are oil filled radiators and reversible air con units. The lounge/dining room also has a wood burning stove. For families with young children is should be noted that there are no facilities in place to prevent access to the pool. There are steps down from the veranda to the pool and sun terrace. There is a substantial secluded balcony that can be accessed from both upstairs bedrooms. From this there are magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. With solid solid walls on every side the balcony acts as a suntrap making winter sunbathing a most enjoyable experience.
Accessibility
The cobbled driveway goes right to the front door providing level access to the house. On the ground floor there are two twin bedded rooms with access to bathrooms, the lounge/dining room and the kitchen. There are patio doors from the lounge to the veranda overlooking the pool and sun terrace. There is a cobble path from the front door to the sun terrace & pool to allow wheelchair access. The grounds are on an incline so to return from the sun terrace and pool will require an accent.
Outside
The property is set in quiet and secluded countryside yet has easy access to the motorway and airport. The villa is set in a 3,500 square metre fenced garden that is protected by electronic gates. It has long established carob, almond and olive trees as well more recently planted shrubs, flowers, herbs and fruit trees. The garden is at different levels and is linked by stone steps and paths. It provides quiet shaded areas in addition to the sun terrace by the pool and the secluded balcony. There are further grounds amounting to around 7,000 square metres that apart from housing a tennis court will remain wild for the immediate future. The view to the front of the property over the valley is uninterrupted. There is 10 x 5 metre infinity pool. Garden chess set (the king is 60cm tall). Barbecue. Tennis court. Car Port and plenty of other parking.
Coast/Beach
The property is 17km from the sea and there are beaches all along the coast in both directions.
Golf
There are numerous courses within a short drive. In addition to the courses around Quinta da Lago and Vilamoura, the villa is in good a good position to access Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima.
Special interest holidays
For tennis lovers, the tennis court is an enormous attraction. The surface is slick and fast. For the chess lover, the garden chess set enables you to walk around and consider your options. Set in beautiful countryside, there are numerous walks and runs on the doorstep. In the stream at the bottom of the hill, the patient observer can spy turtles/terrapins. At the trig point at the top of the hill there is a magnificent view of the Algarve coastline. At times, martins fill the skies and a few people have spotted a golden oriel.

Faro airport is just 17km away.
Seville airport is around 210km away.
Lisbon & Jerez airports are around 280km away.
A car is absolutely essential.
Distances
The property is close to the village of Machados and equi-distant between the towns of Sao Bras de Alportel and the smaller town of Estoi; both are about 5km away.

There are numerous restaurants within a short drive. Sao Bras has two which offer a take away service.
Booking notes
The booking fee is £100 per week.
The balance is due four weeks before departure.
Hirers are requested to observe the owners no smoking policy inside the villa.
Cots and highchairs can be rented at additional cost through the company that manages our property.
