Accessibility
Single story property - easy wheelchair access via front and side doors. All bedrooms on ground floor level, except to the mezzanine.
Outside
Private swimming pool c. (10m x 5m). Vast terracota terraces all around the villa, partially shaded to provide plenty of scope for outdoor activities, with fantastic views to the Monchique hills and vine yards. External table-tennis facillities. Sunloungers and tables provided.
Coast/Beach
Meaia Praia beach. This famous beach offers 5km of fine white sand with many beach bars and restaurants.
Luz Beach offers spectacular cliffs, speedboat rides, paragliding, rockpooling, good beach bars, shops and facilities.
Golf
This is a golfers' paradise. Golfers are spoilt for choice here. Palmares is a 15 minute drive from the villa and offers breathtaking views of the ocean. Quinta de Boavista, Parque de Floresta, Penina are all within a short drive. The golf on offer in this part of the world is varied and extensive for all levels of skill and determination
Special interest holidays
Golf, golf, golf, yes loads of golf courses are nearby.
Whereas, for all the family - the famous Slide & Splash Waterpark at Lagoa is about 30 minutes drive away, together with all the very many local beach and coastal resorts.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro approximately 75km away. The new motorway makes the trip easy and you can get to the villa in circa 50 minutes from Faro airport. Car Hire is recommended.
Distances
Lagos, the old Portuguese fishing town is 4km away.
Silves which is the old Moorish capital city of the Algarve and has a beautiful castle (well worth visiting), about a 30 minute drive.
Further up is Serra de Monchique, about 45 minutes away and the town of Monchique a lovely old market town also about the same distance.
Portimao, an old harbour town is 20 minutes.
Sagres and its cape, historically considered by the Portuguese as the far limit of the ancient world, is 20 minutes drive.
Further details
Espiche is a charming old Portuguese style village which has several excellent and reasonably priced resturants, in particular "Papagaio" (The Parrot) and 2 mini-super market shops, a general stores, a fish market and several friendly bars serving food. The famous Slide & Splash Waterpark at Lagoa is about 30 minutes drive away.
Lagos Town has numerous shops, banks and supermarkets and post office. There are lovely restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Also there is a good fish market, plus a vibrant vegetable market with local produce. Lagos is an ancient walled city, mostly with pedestrian areas and beautiful cobbled streets. There are lovely gift shops and cafe's spilling out onto the pavements. Recomended - the speciality Kojo gift shop opposite The Cultural Centre in Lagos.
There is a Marina from where you can take a boat trip or park your yatch. Lagos Town has its own lovely little coves plus a fantastic 5 km sandy beach.
Luz beach is sandy and the sea is usually quite calm and it is a popular family choice. At low tide there are great rock pools at the eastern end. There are numerous bars and restaurants and several good supermarkets in Luz.
The west coast with its dramatic beaches and rolling sea favoured by surfers is about 30 minutes drive. Heading east there are 2 waterslide parks and Zoo Marine all within an hours drive. Horse-riding and water sports clubs and golf courses are also very close.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.
