Notes on accommodation
This accommodation is very family orientated as there is a choice of 6 swimming pools 4 tennis courts and for the adults there are indoor pool/jacuzzi steam room and gym facilities. Please no smoking inside the apartment, but you are wlcome to smoke on the terrace. For the golfer this complex boasts a beautiful 9 hole course on site with driving range and golf academy/pro shop. The reception is open 24 hours.

Golf
Balaia Golf Village has its own award winning, testing, executive 9 hole course, with distances ranging from 67 to 160 meters. You must wear proper golf shoes fitted with soft spikes to play this course. There is no handicap requirement. Once you have confirmed reservation for the apartment, you can book tee times with the golf shop in person (00351) 289 5700 442. There is a driving range, practice bunker, chipping and putting greens. An impressive club house with a large terrace overlooks the first tee, has a restaurant, reception, pro shop, club hire, trolley and lockers. Golfing lessons in a group or individually are available. There are several international standard courses within 15km of the village. Again you must wear proper golf shoes fitted with soft spikes to play these courses. They all have handicap requirements, generally (but not universally) 28 for men and 36 for ladies and you must present your authorised handicap cards.

Less than 30 Kilometers from Faro airport.
Distances
10 minute ride to lively Albufeira and within easy reach of Vilamoura.
Further details
There is on site management and an excellent 24hr reception, where you can change money, book taxis, book airport transfers, arrange baby sitting, hire cots etc. You will find them always most helpful. Reception also has an internet facility for guest.
