We have owned the property for 19 years and have maintained it to a high standard. The kitchen has very recently been renewed, so that the cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave are all new. There is a flat screen TV and DVD Player. The TV has satellite so it is possible to view many programmes, but there is no Sky package. It is situated at the back of the large communal pool (2 mins walk) and faces South, towards the sea (5 minutes walk), there are 2 beaches close by; the other one is 10 minutes walk maximum; both have beach bar/restaurants. There are many restaurants; at least 6 within easy walking distance, but within 10 minutes by car there are a large number, to suit all pockets, and we have designed a map showing the ones that we would recommend. Golf courses abound we can advise. Walking is popular and if you have no car there is a good bus service to get you about. Sea fishing off the cliffs and rocks, attracts some, but we have no kit.

Accessibility
As the property is on the first floor, this could cause a problem, although probably not insurmountable. Responsibility would rest with those concerned.
Outside
The gardens are very well maintained, with many flowering shrubs. The pool area is common to those occupying the properties. There is a large pool and also one for young children. It is not heated.
Coast/Beach
The large Sao Rafael beach is 5 mins walk, literally straight down to the sea. Thre is another smaller cove, within maximum 8 mins. both have beach bar/reataurants open from spring to late autumn.
Golf
Salgados Golf Club is 10 mins drive away going west. There are many courses both to the east and to the west between 20 and 45 mins drive. We have played on most of them and can advise, both as to their degree of difficulty, and how to obtain discounts, which can be helpful to those who have not perhaps played in Portugal.
Travel
Faro is the only airport 40km. from the apartment. There is a motorway for most of the journey. Car hire is recommended but not essential as there is a bus service, with a bus stop just outside the complex.
Distances
Albufeira is 4km away. Silves, Portimau, Lagos are all of interest, all have historic significance, but also good shops and markets. Lule is not far away which has a big market. Information is readily available.
Further details
There is a supermarket just outside the complex. There are telephones also. Restaurants are numerous and we can help with a map, showing the whereabouts of our recommendations. Banks are in Albufeira, but there are 'hole in wall' machines, available at some supermarkets in the area- nearest would be a 5 min drive away.
Booking notes
We would require a 20% deposit, with the booking, with final payment 2 months before departure.
