The whole complex is completely pedestrianised and is ideal for children. The village has 6 cafe/bars, 3 restaurants, 2 pool bars, a supermarket, children's play area and three swimming pools. 24 hour security and on-site agent to offer advice and arrange activities.

Coast/Beach
Both The Falesia beach (blue flag rated) and Vilamoura beach are a 15 minute walk, or 5 minutes by car. A motorized train leaves The Old Village every 30 minutes to the beach and marina.
Golf
The Old Village is surrounded by Pinhal golf course and there are 5 other premier golf courses within the immediate vicinity, along with a first class golfing academy. Our on-site agent can arrange discounted golf packages.

Travel
Faro Airport is 25 minutes away by car. A car is not absolutely essential for Vilamoura itself, however it would be an advantage to golfers and those wishing to visit some of the surrounding areas.
Distances
Vilamoura marina is a 10 minute walk. Vilamoura beach or Falesia Beach is a 15 minute walk. Vilamoura tennis centre is a 5 minute walk.
The nearby town of Quarteira has a daily fish and fresh produce market and a general market every Wednesday and is easily reached by bus or taxi. The inland town of Loule which is 15 minutes by car has a popular market every Saturday morning.
