Brand new 2 bedroom luxury 1st floor apartment with balcony. It is near to one of the longest, and most beautiful beaches in Portugal. The very good value restaurants, coffee shops, bars and supermarkets are in easy walking distance. There are more than 10 golf courses within 30 minutes drive. Discounts can be obtained. Shuttle buses run to the golf courses, Zoomarina, and the Algarves' famous Aqualand. Algarves shopping Centre which includes, cinemas, restaurants, and bowling alley is about 7km away. Faro airport is 35 minutes away by car. It is not necessary to have a car at the apartment as all the facilities are within easy walking distance, and public transport is good. Local buses run to Lagos, Portimao. Albufeira, and Faro. If you do wish to hire a car, the rates in Portugal are good. We can advise where to get a good deal. Low cost airlines fly to Faro from most airports in the UK. We can help you to find cheap flights.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has air conditioning in the lounge and the 2 bedrooms and has reverse air which means heat as well. It also has electrically operated shutters to all windows, which assist in keeping apartment cool and in turn enhance security. There is also a safe for the use of all guests. This is a first floor apartment with lift facilities so therefore is suitable for the elderly and children. We kindly request that guests do not smoke inside the apartment.

Coast/Beach
The beach of Armacao de Pera is only 3 minutes walk from the apartment. Armacao is at the western end of one of the longest and most beautiful beaches on the Algarve stretching over two miles. The beach is perfect for children as it is very calm and the slope is gradual. As you walk to the eastern end of the beach you will see the fishermen bringing in their catch. The translation of the word 'Armacao' is 'fishing net'.

Golf
The nearest golf course is Salgados which is 3km from the apartment. Vale de Milho Golf Course a lovely 9 hole course designed by Dave Thomas the Ryder Cup player is 6km. Quinta do Gramacho and Vale de Pinta both lovely courses are only 6kms. Silves is 12km. Penina the very famous golf course is only 16km. The many famous courses around Vilamoura are 25km.

Travel
The local airport to Armacao de Pera is Faro which is 35 minutes by car. Car hire is not essential but is available direct from Faro Airport. There are taxis at the airport to take you to your apartment. It is not necessary to have a car at the apartment as all local facilities are within easy walking distance and public transport is good if you wish to travel further afield. Airport pick ups can be arranged at a discount.

Albufeira is 12kms. Portimao is 16kms. Lagos is 30kms. Faro is 40kms. Tavira 95kms.

Further details
There are several supermarkets within 3/10 minutes walk, as well as all the town's many shops, banks/ATMs and all usual facilities. Bars and restaurants in the town and beachfront, including Chinese, Indian, Italian and fish restaurants, for which Armacao de Pera is well known. Windsurfing, Pedalos, snorkelling, surfing on the beautiful beach, and there is a cafe near the apartment with two large outdoor swimming pools. Other activities include horse riding, cave and Dolphin trips, sea fishing, cliff and country walks, Jeep safaris. Two local waterparks, Zoomarina where you can swim with the dolphins, the famous sand sculptures. Visit the Marinas at Albufeira and Vilamoura. Trips to Lisbon and Seville 3 hours away, visit the ancient town of Sives with it's Moorish Castle. Numerous local markets. The apartment is 3 minutes from the beach, and just 3 minutes walk from the countryside.

Booking notes
Direct with the owners. A 30% booking deposit is required to secure the booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before start of holiday. A refundable bond of £150 is required with the final payment which will be returned after inspection providing no damage had occurred. Families/couples preferred. Sorry no pets. Breakages to be replaced or paid for.
