Notes on prices
Prices quoted are for the property per week in UK Pounds, with a maximum occupancy of 6 people and are inclusive of electricity, gas, water, bed linen and towels (not pool or beach). Long term rentals available. The villa is non-smoking.
Changeover day
Changeover days can be flexible, depending on existing bookings. Where changeover is on the same day we ask that you depart by 10.30am and arrivals no earlier than 4.00pm.

Notes on accommodation
The superb views and excellent location, together with the generous private outdoor living areas to the front and rear of the villa make this house a perfect holiday home. A selection of games and books are available for your enjoyment. With underfloor heating and double glazing throughout, the house is ideal for use all year round. There is ample secure storage space for golf clubs, surf boards and all sports equipment in the basement. For extra security for your holiday documents there is a safe at the villa, available for use during your stay.

Accessibility
Easy level walking to Foz village from private rear gate.
Outside
The villa shares an infinity pool, with plenty of space to relax in the communal garden areas. You can also stretch out on the sun loungers we provide or there is lots of seating and tables available at the villa, you can sit in the shade in either of the private front garden or rear courtyard of the villa. Alfresco dining for 6 and cooking on the large brick built BBQ is available in the private rear courtyard. All bedrooms have a balcony with superb views of the lagoon and additional seating so that you may enjoy the view.
Coast/Beach
With Obidos Lagoon always in sight and only a few minutes walk away; the lagoon is a wonderful safe place for families and children to enjoy, with large expanses of sand and safe shallow bathing. The lagoon is also a magnificent natural habitat for all types of wildlife and is enjoyed by birdwatchers, fishermen, sailors, hikers and cyclists. At the mouth of the lagoon is the Atlantic Ocean. Large expanses of sandy beaches, beach cafes, restaurants and bars, all only a 10 minute walk away.
Golf
Fantastic golf! 5 courses within 25 minutes, 18 within 45 minutes. Including, Praia D'el Rey (European golf destination 2007), Golden Eagle (my husbands favourite), Campo Real, Ribagolfe and Lisbon sports club. As my husband has played several of these courses, we would be happy to give details or any further help. We are also able to assist with bookings and tee times at excellent rates.
Travel
Lisbon Airport, 45 minute drive away. Book early, take advantage of the cheap direct flights; BA, BMI Baby, TAP, Monarch, Easyjet and others. Oporto Airport flights from many UK Airports just 2.5 hour drive new motorway just opened, Faro Airport 3 hour drive. Car hire though not essential, is recommended, many good deals available. There is an excellent bus service from Foz do Arelho to Caldas da Rainha, where you can then take a trip to many other destinations in and around the Silver Coast.
Distances
Lisbon, a wonderful, cultural city must be explored, 45 minute drive away. Sao Martinho do Porto, sheltered safe sandy beach resort, well worth a visit, 10 minute drive. Baleal superb beach town, 25 minutes away. Peniche, lovely quaint fishing town, 30 minutes drive away, with really good fish restaurants and day trips to the Barlanga islands. Obidos, unique walled castle city, a Unesco world heritage site of special interest, a must visit, 15 minutes drive. Caldas da Rainha, 10 minute drive
Further details
Foz village, a few minutes walk away, with a post office, bank, doctor, baker, butcher, 2 small mini-markets and a variety of restaurants and bars. Caldas da Rainha, a fabulous ceramic market town, go early for fresh fruit and vegetables from the town centre market, Monday to Saturday, mornings only. Caldas is a great shopping town with 4 hypermarkets and many fashionable shops for those special presents.
Foz do Arelho really is ideal for everyone and has attractions and activities all year round. Golf, fish, walk, hike, surf, canoe, sail, windsurf, horse ride, cycle and much more; you can even just relax, do nothing, laze in the sun. This area of Portugal has excellent good value restaurants of all types and standards. Local produce and good local wines, are easy to shop for, look out for wines produced around the lagoon.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £150 per week is payable at the time of booking, the balance being due 8 weeks prior to arrival. If the arrival date is within 8 weeks of the booking then full payment should accompany the booking form.
