Albufeira tops the list of holiday destinations in the Algarve. Undoubtedly a fun resort attracting a varied mix of holiday makers. The old town remains an unusually pretty village and the Moorish architectural influence is strong with narrow cobblestone streets, twisting lanes of whitewashed houses and terracotta roofs above a beautiful spread of beaches. The numerous beaches are ideal for sun bathing during the day and for pleasant evening walks. Nothing beats watching the sun set the on breathtaking Portuguese coastline particularly at Praia do Inatel, a short walk from the apartment. The resort bustles with life and atmosphere and plenty of bars, shops, cafes and restaurants add to the colour and upbeat feel of this area which has retained its charm and still functions as a fishing village. The infamous strip area of Areias sao Joao comes alive in the evening providing plenty of nightlife and entertainment. It has some of the best beaches in the Algarve. Golf courses nearby.
