This traditional villa offers spacious and comfortable accommodation with private pool in this very popular Portuguese seaside village. You can choose to laze by the pool, and cook meals on the barbecue. Alternatively, the lagoon provides safe bathing plus windsurfing and canoeing, whilst the Atlantic waves are favourites with surfers. The village has a number of restaurants, with further choice of cuisine and places to eat in the surrounding towns and villages. All offer excellent value for money. The town of Caldas da Rainha, with its daily fruit, vegetable and fish markets, is 8km inland. Obidos, a delightful medieval town and world heritage site, is a 15km drive. The historic towns of Alcobaca and Batalha are within easy reach, and Fatima, Sintra, Cascais and Lisbon are recommended day trips. There are 4 championship golf courses in the area, including the famous Praia del Rey. Pre-booked golf prices are very competitive.

Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday but we may be flexible depending on other bookings.

| Living Rooms: | Wonderfully spacious lounge with 3 very comfortable sofas, TV with UK 'Freeview', DVD player, and open fireplace. Large dining table that accommodates 10 in comfort. |

Bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and tea towels provided. Our locally based management company provide a weekly cleaning service and fresh linen (please bring your own beach towels). |

Accessibility
Steps to front door, so not suitable for wheelchair access. 1 twin bedroom on ground floor with adjacent bathroom and level access to pool area and garden.
Outside
Planted garden area at rear of house. Tiled area around private pool for sun loungers and outdoor table and chairs. Pool - 6m by 4m, depth 0.90 to 1.50m. directly accessible from the house (children need supervising).
Large barbecue.
Coast/Beach
10 mins walk to Obidos lagoon and few minutes further to the Atlantic surfing beaches. There is a windsurfing school on the lagoon, and beach football, volleyball and other activities through the summer.
There is ample parking if you prefer to drive to the beach.
Golf
4 golf courses all within a 30 mins drive, Praia del Rey, Golden Eagle, Bom Successo and Campo Real. We've played them all so can advise.
Travel
Lisbon Airport is less than an hour's drive from the house, and the journey from the airport along the A8 motorway (currently 4.05 euros toll) is an easy drive.
Easyjet fly to Lisbon from Luton, Gatwick and Bristol. Monarch fly from Gatwick and bmibaby from Birmingham. British Airways and TAP go from Heathrow.
Booking notes
Please contact the owners for availability and dates. A 25% deposit is required to secure booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. A 150 euros refundable damage deposit is payable before arrival.
