Brand new, luxurious, air-conditioned, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment. Set on the Vila Sol 27 hole championship golf course. This is also a great location for family based enjoyment (those of us that don't want to play golf). The apartment is equipped with 4 tennis rackets and balls for the 2 astro courts and the 2 full size tennis courts, inflatable lilos for the children and adults to enjoy around the pool. Cluedo, Monopoly, guess who, bat and ball and Cable TV. For non golfers there is a luxurious spa, choice of 4 pools including 2 children's pools, (one indoor heated pool) cost 7 euros with our discount card. Set in beautiful natural surroundings that also enjoys tennis courts, nearby beautiful beaches, nature walk and jogging track, plus a superb 5* hotel with its choice of fantastic restaurants. The centre of Vilamoura is just 10 mins drive away with its fabulous marina and Faro airport is within easy access. The spectacular Aqua show water park is just 5 minutes away by car.

Notes on prices
Prices are per week in UK Pounds. Payment in euros can be arranged - please enquire as to the actual rate. Normal booking dates are Sat. to Sat. (flexible depending on occupancy). Arrival after 3.30pm / departure prior to 11.30am (to allow for cleaning + linen change). We like to be as accommodating as poss, if you have an earlier flight please advise and we will endeavour to prepare the apartment earlier so you can explore Portugal.

Changeover day
Changeover day is generally Saturday, however for bookings of 7 days or more we offer more flexibility.

Notes on accommodation
Fully central heated and air-conditioned and highly suitable for children. We look forward to our family holidays in the Algarve and believe they should be as special as possible for ourselves and our guests. New- there is now a supermarket, suishi restaurant, Italian restaurant, irish bar offering traditional food (bangers and mash, steak and ale pie etc), french creperie serving coffee, tea and soft drinks, cakes, etc and soon to open is a newsagents all within 5 mins drive, or 15 mins walk from the apartment. Welcome packs can be provided to get you started for your holiday (paid in advance). If you have not driven abroad before, fear not as the roads are genarally a lot quiter than those in the UK and the driving is really easy and the roads tend to be well sign posted. The rental car companies provide local maps that are easy to navigate from. The property and surrounding areas are very safe. The apartment is perfectly located and easy to find from the airport.

Accessibility
Easy access all on one level. Suitable for children of all ages and elderly, as this is a ground floor apartment. This accommodation is secure and has the added benefit of electric shutters. Please note this apartment has an extended 2nd bedroom which is quite rare.
Outside
53sqm (approx) private south facing rear terrace not overlooked and set amongst beautiful gardens. Patio table and chairs, sun loungers and parasol all provided free of charge. The golf course 1st tee is approx 80m away. There are 4 pools on the complex, including 2 children's pools with extensive grass relaxation areas around (one equiped with loungers), nearest pool is literally 1 minute walk from the apartment, allowing the children time to play whilst the adults can have a drink on the sun terrace. One pool is located indoors at the hotel, local charge approx 7 euros (with our guest discount card). The design of this 5* resort has been extremely well planned with beautiful walk ways, palm trees, pools and pretty gardens. Most owners have bought their accommodation as second properties for themselves so the resort is never over crowded, it’s peaceful and tranquil and is the ideal place where the children can enjoy the facilities whilst their parents can relax in comfort and style.
Coast/Beach
The Algarve offers some of the best unspoilt beaches in Europe. Vilamoura is a beautiful area that has been tastefully designed and created, without becoming overdeveloped. The award winning marina is easily accessible from the apartment along the Algarve coast, all within easy reach (5-10 mins by car), or in a taxi (usually 7-8 Euros).
Golf
Situated on the prestigious Vila Sol golf course, which is one of the top 10 courses in the Algarve and we are only 500 mtrs from the Club House. 25 superb golf courses within 30 mins drive (eg Vale de Lobo, Pinieros Altos, 4 in Vilamoura, Quinta de Lago, San Lorenzo and more). In 2001 Vila Sol won the prize for best golf development. Renters enjoy a 30% discount of green fees on production of discount card.
Special interest holidays
Ria Formosa is a Unesco protected natural wildlife park within a 20 minute car drive. Here you can see birds on their migrating pathway from Africa to Europe, as they stop to rest and refuel by eating shrill and other indigenous foods needed to enable them to carry on on their journey. In Summer and Autumn thousands of Flamingos can be seen as they visit the wetlands at Ria Formosa. We recently hired a sail boat (40 Euros) accross the lake and later cycled around the lake (bike hire available) and had a picnick whilst watching the flamingoes and eagrets accross the wetlands, it was a great day out for the family our children loved really the experience.
Travel
Faro Airport is only 20 mins drive away and the apartment is easy to find. Use of a car is strongly recommended and car hire is available at Faro Airport. There are taxis available at the airport if you prefer not to drive.
We generally hire a car from the Airport for the week and use it during the daytime and order a taxi from the Hotel (3 minutes walk away) so we can enjoy a drink at the Marina.
There are taxi ranks at the Marina so you do't have to worry about getting back to the apartment.
Distances
Vilamoura is approx 10 mins drive away and there are numerous shops and restaurants around the beautiful marina, which is the largest in Europe and one of the most idyllic. There are Medieval castles that date back to the 10th Century and many picturesque historic lovely towns and fishing villages all within a reasonable driving distance.

A deposit of 25% of the price of your villa rental is due within 7 days of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining 75% plus a damage deposit of £200 is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date.

The apartment was beautiful - extremely spacious, very comfortable and well maintained. There had been lots of attention to detail with many home comforts. It is certainly big enough for a family.
Conveniently located near to Vilamoura Marina and benefiting from the Vila Sol hotel on site, meaning we had all the hotel's amenities at hand - As a base for exploring the Algarve it was perfect.
The owners provided us with great customer service - available at the end of a phone or on email and provided plenty of information before we went.
We found the Vila Sol complex to be quiet and peaceful - exactly what we were after for some end of year sunshine and relaxation.
