There are many wonderful places to visit nearby such as Foz do Arelho (chic cafes, fantastic beaches, surfing & water sports), Nazare (beach, vibrant nightlife, aqua park and bullring), Peniche (fishing port with wonderful seafood restaurants), Obidos (Medieval Town with many fascinating festivals), Alcobaca (World Heritage Monastery) and many golf courses inc. the links at Praia De'l Rey. Changeover day
We are flexible in our approach to changeover days.
Check in 4pm and Check out by 10am (though we will try to accomodate early arrivals and late departures if we can).

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are provided and changed weekly if booked for 2 weeks or more. The villa is cleaned once a week by the management company. Beach towels are not provided. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has central heating in all rooms including bathrooms (when required). The floors are fully tiled and the windows have electric shutters enabling the villa to be kept cool in summer. There is an electric entry system to the villa, drive and garage for extra security. The villa is used regularly by the owners who have 2 young children. There are books, toys, games, CDs and DVDs for your use. There is a Playstation 2 and games with a second TV in the ground floor bedroom/playroom (also with English TV channels). Bedroom 4 can be used as a double and the single sofa bed can be moved in from bedroom 3 or it can be left as a playroom. We also have a Z bed as a 10th bed. 2 hairdryers and hair straightener can be found in the main bedrooms. Cots can be hired and are available on request and at an additional cost. Welcome packs are available at an additional cost. There is a strict non-smoking policy within this villa and we respectfully ask all visitors to refrain from smoking.

Accessibility
Wheelchair users are welcome though there are several low steps that may hinder access to the villa.
Outside
Garden with private saltwater heated 8x4m swimming pool (1.2m shallow end and 1.8m deep end). Also attached is a shallow children's pool 2x2m. The pool can be heated to 28 degrees centigrade (82 degrees fahrenheit) enabling use of the pool March-Oct/Nov depending on the outside temperature. Heating of pool if required will be charged at £30 per week. Grass area at the front of the villa. Large built-in barbecue area with outdoor sink close to the kitchen for that perfect summer living. Outdoor furniture is provided - Large table, 8 chairs and 6 sun loungers.
Coast/Beach
The AA Essential Guide voted Sao Martinho do Porto beach as one of the top 10 beaches to visit in Portugal. This sheltered bay makes it one of the warmest and safest places to swim on the coast and is ideal for families. Both Salir do Porto beach which is linked are a 0.5 miles easy walk from the villa along the sand dunes and board walks.
Foz/Lagoon with its surf, water sports and beach bars and restaurants is less than 10 minutes drive.

A car is essential to appreciate this unspoilt area of Portugal, however we can arrange pick up/return from Lisbon airport at a cost of 85 Euros each way.

Foz d'Arelho - 10 minutes.
Obidos - 20 minutes.

Foz do Arelho has numerous bars, restaurants and beach.
Caldas da Rainha offers daily markets, many large supermarkets, spa, banking.
Obidos a stunning walled medieval town which is picturesque and has many festivals and celebrations throughout the year. The Obidos Wine Route can take you to 5 vineyards.
Alcobaca, monastery town is a 25 minute drive.
The region is renowned for its superb Atlantic waves attracting surfers from across Europe. There is something for everyone here catering for beginners to seasoned surfers.
Booking notes
We require a non refundable 20% deposit for the villa with the balance of payment 8 weeks in advance. Refundable security deposit of £200 to be paid with final payment.
Please Note: We require the payment to made into our Portuguese bank account in Euros for which your bank will make a charge.
Cancellation refunds: Up to 8 weeks 20% deposit. 4-8 weeks 50% of rate refunded. 2-4 weeks 30% of rate refunded. Less than 2 weeks no refund. Please email/call for further information.
