Accessibility
This is a first floor apartment, with steps up to the entrance of the apartment and further steps to the roof terrace from the balcony and therefore may not be suitable for wheelchairs.
Outside
The roof terrace is completely open and therefore will have the sun all year round it is private and is equipped with furniture for sunbathing and table and chairs for relaxing. The south facing first floor balcony has a table and chairs a parasol. Both the terrace and balcony enjoy views over the landscaped gardens and pool area. There is a charcoal barbecue for the use of the guests. For added security there are electric shutters on all accessible doors and windows.
There is an underground car park facility for this apartment.
Coast/Beach
Vila Sol offers a private beach at Ancao, just 15 mins away. The Algarve is full of fabulous beaches all around, the beach at Vilamoura has golden sand and straw umbrellas with deck chairs that are available for a small fee and looks onto the Atlantic Ocean, if you drive outside Vilamoura and go down some of the roads that take you to the coast, there are some more beautifully unspoilt and non commercialised beaches.
Golf
Vila Sol Golf Course has twice held the Portuguese Open. This apartment is set within this magnificent 27-hole golf resort designed by the famous architect Donald Steel. There is also a driving range, practise course, golf academy, and large club house including bar, restaurant and golf shop. The renters enjoy a 30% discount on green fees on production of discount card.
Other golf courses include - Quinta da Lago 15 mins away, Pinhal 5 mins away, Millenium 5 mins away, Victoria 8 mins away, Laguna 8 mins away.
Travel
Faro airport is just a 15-20 min car journey. Whilst having access to a car is desirable it is not absolutely necessary as there are restaurants within walking distance. A taxi to Vilamoura normally costs about 7 euro. Transport to and from airport can be arranged for an additional cost.
Further details
A cash point is available just outside the Vila Sol Golf clubhouse. The Aqua Park is about a 5 mins by car away. Go-karting is available just out of Almancil by the N125. Zoo Marine, in the direction of Albufeira, is a great day out for families. Vilamoura Old Village has a Mitchelin Star restaurant called Willie's.
For large supermarkets we recommend Apolonia on the way to Almancil, close to the Go-Karting. Other generally cheaper supermarkets such as Modelo, Lidi and Plus are on the way to Loule.
Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days of booking. Balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. A £150 breakage/loss deposit is also required and this is refunded in full within 10 days upon notification from the on-site manager that all is in order.
