This new villa is a perfect base from which to explore everything which the Silver Coast has to offer with its wonderful beaches, good restaurants, sightseeing and numerous sporting facilities. The villa is designed and equipped to a high standard with 4 bedrooms, a playroom (with table tennis), 3 bathrooms and a large living/dining room. There is a large garden area to the rear of the villa with a private pool, built-in barbecue and plenty of seating. At the front of the house there is another terrace perfect for a quiet drink taking in the views of the open countryside.

Changeover day
Saturday is preferred although alternative arrangements can be negotiated.

Notes on accommodation
The pool is heated using a solar cover.
For winter the villa has full central heating and a large fireplace in the lounge.
Accessibility
The ground floor can be accessed from the rear avoiding the need to use the few steps at the front of the villa. There is a downstairs bedroom and shower room with wc. Wheelchair users should contact us for further information prior to booking.
Outside
The villa has a large private pool (8.5m x 4m) which at the shallow end is 0.8m deep. Next to the pool there is a built-in barbeque and outdoor table and chairs. There are also a number of sunloungers.
At the front of the house there is a good-sized sun terrace with wooden benches.
Off-road gated parking for 3 cars is available.
Coast/Beach
The Silver Coast area is renowned for its fantastic beaches none more so than the sheltered bay of Sao Martinho do Porto which is warm and safe: ideal for children and for swimming. It is less than 10 mins drive from the villa. Other nearby beach resorts of Foz d'Arelho and Nazare are only a 15 mins drive away.
Golf
The area has a number of spectacular golf clubs within 30 to 45 minutes drive. These include Praia d'el Rey (awarded "European Golf Resort of the Year 2007" at the "ITAGO Awards"), Golden Eagle, Campo Real and Bom Sucesso (opens summer 2008).
Special interest holidays
The Silver Coast is renowned for its superb Atlantic waves attracting surfers of all levels from across Europe.
The area is also perfect for hiking/golf/biking holidays.
Travel
Lisbon Airport: less than 1 hour by the A8 motorway served by Easyjet, BMI, Tap, BA and Aer Lingus.
Porto Airport: 3 hours served by Ryanair and Tap.
We suggest that car hire is essential in order to fully appreciate the area.

Village centre shops and cafe - less than 10 mins walk.
Sao Martinho do Porto - less than 10 mins drive.
Caldas da Rainha - 10 mins drive.
Nazare and Foz d'Arelho - 15 mins drive.
Obidos and Peniche/Baleal - 20 mins drive.
Lisbon - less than 1 hour drive.
Further details
Sao Martinho do Porto offers a fantastic safe beach, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets, banks, children's playground etc.
Foz d'Arelho has a vast beach, chic beachside cafes and restaurants. The beach provides a surfers paradise and ocean fishing whilst the calm waters of the adjoining Obidos lagoon are perfect for sailing, windsurfing and swimming.
At Nazare there is another good beach and also a waterpark.
Caldas da Rainha offers a good range of shops and cafes as well as a daily market, a park, many large supermarkets etc.
Obidos is a picturesque walled medieval town which has many festivals and celebrations throughout the year. The Obidos Wine Route can take you to 5 vineyards.
Alcobaca is an interesting monastery town.
Peniche is a fishing town renowned for its fish restaurants and Baleal is world famous for its surfing.
The region is also great for a variety of outdoor activities including surfing, canoeing, windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, scuba diving, fishing, golf, beach soccer, volleyball, waterskiing, jet skiing, tennis, karting, walking, horseriding and mountain biking.
Booking notes
A non-refundable booking deposit of 25% is payable. The balance is payable a minimum of 8 weeks before arrival together with a security deposit of £200 which is refundable within 1 week of departure.
It is a non-smoking property and no pets are allowed.
