A beautifully designed modern villa set in the award winning Alma Verde Village and Spa The villa is designed for modern easy living with fully fitted kitchen/dining room, a lounge, 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins). 2 bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and master bedroom has en suite bath/shower room. Comfortably sleeps 6 with Z beds available to accommodate an extra 2 guests if needed. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes. The garden provides outside space for dining/bbq, a private pool and manicured garden. The villa is just 5 mins drive from the beach of the picturesque fishing village of Burgau. Also close to stunning beaches of the South Coast and the Atlantic Coast. The vibrant marina/town of Lagos is 15 mins away and the historical towns of Sagres, Silves and Monchique are all a short drive away. More than 20 golf courses are within one hours drive.

All linen and towels (except beach towels) are provided. Property professionally cleaned before and after each occupancy. Maid service (light clean, towel and linen change) mid stay for rentals of 2 weeks or more.

 

Notes on accommodation
Villa is equipped with cool house system and used instead of air conditioning. This is an environmentally friendly alternative to air conditioning which reduces CO2 emissions while providing optimum year-round comfort. Central heating is available for use during cooler months. This is a non-smoking villa. Suitable for children but we would ask that children are supervised at all times, especially around the pool. Cot, highchair and Z beds can be hired.

Coast/Beach
The charming fishing village of Burgau is 5 mins drive from the villa where you will find most amenities, shops, bars and restaurants. The village of Salema, also close by, has a good selection of bars and restaurants. Most coastal villages provide beach bars serving locally caught fish and other Portuguese dishes There are many other sandy beaches waiting to be explored. The beaches on the South Coast tend to be calmer whereas the Atlantic coast on the West is ideal for surfing.

Golf
The property is close to excellent golf facilities, there are over 20 golf courses within an hours drive. Parque da Floresta, 10 mins drive from the villa, is one of Europe's most spectacular golf courses set in hillside terrain. It features a golf academy, driving range and short game area with practice bunkers. Boavista golf resort is also 10 mins drive away and has a golf academy and boasts panoramic views of both the coast and the hills. Other golf courses, for example, Penina, are located throughout the Algarve region and easily accessible via the A22 motorway.

Western Algarve has a wealth of activities: horse-riding, boating, sailing, fishing, diving, swimming with dolphins, dolphin safari, walking, bird watching, beach sports, paragliding, tennis (on site), wellness centre (on site), swimming and Slide and Splash water park.

Nearest airport Faro 95km. 60 mins by car to villa. Nearest beach/village Burgau 3km from villa. Nearest motorway A22 10km. Nearest town/train station Lagos 10km. Car highly recommended to explore all that Western Algarve has to offer.

Distances
Lagos is the main town in the area with all major facilities including shops, bars, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. The new marina is a major centre for all sailing and boating activities. The spa town of Monchique in the mountains is approximately 45 minutes drive away. The historical town of Sagres is 20 minutes drive and Silves is within 30 minutes drive.

Further details
AlmaVerde Village and Spa offers a wellness centre which offers a range of treatment and therapies that can be booked. The village also offers floodlit tennis courts and all the equipment can be hired from the management company at the reception office. The fishing village of Burgau with a sandy beach 5 mins drive from the villa. There is a fantastic beach bar and several restaurants in the village.

Lagos is about 15 mins drive from the villa and has everything you would want from a town. Good shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. On certain days there is a market. Lagos has a marina and another attraction is the very long beach of Meia Praia where you can hire a variety of water sport activities. Also some great beach bars can be found here Lagos also offers glass bottomed boat tours of the coastline which is great fun for all the family. There are some excellent beach bars and restaurants all within easy drive, found throughout the local villages and towns.

Booking notes
A 25% holding deposit is required to secure the booking. The full balance payment is taken 8 weeks prior to the booking. If the booking is taken within the 8 weeks prior to booking period the full amount is due to secure the booking. A £200 refundable security deposit is also taken at the same time as the balance payment.
