This properly ‘Casa Luana’ - enjoys very nice views of the sea and surrounding countryside and precious privacy. The location of the property is unique. A winding road leads to the electronic gate of the 5 hectare plot of land. A drive then follows to a circular parking area below the house, from where a staircase leads to the terraces and entrance to the main house.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Arrival at the villa to be after 3pm and departure by 11am to ensure that cleaning and preparation of your holiday home is to the high standard you would expect.

Notes on accommodation
Bed linen and towels are included and will be changed weekly. Beach/pool towels are not provided. Change over cleaning included. Both houses enjoy a cozy country style ambience with furniture to match, have high ceilings, wooden external shutters, each with independent satellite TV. No smoking within the properties, there is plenty of space available externally for this.
Accessibility
The property is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The surrounding mature garden is partly landscaped with decorative natural stonewalls and has various cobble stone terraces which provide excellent alfresco dining, also pathways leading to the plunge pool and outside shower. In addition, the property boasts a spacious dog kennel and pets are welcome. Gardens, terraces, BBQ, outdoor furniture, patio and stunning views.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of Tavira, Pedras del Rei, Tavira Island and Fuzeta are within 25 min reach.
Golf
The golf courses of Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura are approx 45km drive to the West. Benamor, Quinta da Ria are between 25-35 min to the east, Castro Marim at the Spanish boarder a 45 min drive.
Travel
Faro airport is about 35km away. Car rental essential.
Distances
Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo in 2.5km distance, has a petrol station, a supermarket, post office, bank, health centre, chemist, restaurants and cafes. The Roman town of Tavira is 12km away and has a full and varied summer programme, inc. music, films and concerts in some of the many churches, also excellent fish and vegetable market. 2.5km away is the Quinta Rural with a fine restaurant, pool, tennis court and massage. Sao Bras is 12km away has a museum with many and varied events.
Further details
This property is ideal for people who want to be away from it all. The nature in the surrounding area is beautiful. Tavira, Moncarapacho, Sao Bras, Loule, Faro and various beaches can all be reached within 30 min.
There are many long sandy beaches, splendid water sport facilities and superb golf courses within easy reach. Alternatively, for people who love nature, this area is ideal for walking, mountain biking and bird watching. There are as well various travel options, for example a one day trip to the Cabo de Sao Viscente, the most south western point of Europe, where Henry the navigator had his legendary school. from there a short drive inland to Silves, the capital of the Moorish Algarve.
To the east only a 45 min drive, then you cross the boarder river Gudiana into Spain, where you visit the charming Spanish town of Ayamonte, or another 100km from there and you are in beautiful Seville in Andalucia.

We had a lovely holiday at this country house in the Algarve. The owner was friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. The cottage has a wonderful aspect, situated on a small hill overlooking the countryside with an ocean view in the distance. While some distance from the ocean it is still within easy reach for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping and beach outings.
There is a friendly resort/country club close by and if you so desire you can soon be on the back roads to experience the `real’ Portugal.
The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and is beautifully decorated with the feel of a Mexican hacienda. There is a spacious verandah overlooking the attractive garden. You can relax in the deck chairs, slip into the plunge pool and soak up the gorgeous Algarve sunshine. Heaven.
We enjoyed our stay here immensely and didn’t want to leave. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a relaxed holiday in the Algarve countryside.
