Villa 3b, a two bedroom, semi-detached villa, nestling amongst almond and olive trees on the small countryside estate of privately owned villas known as the Quinta Da Saudade. Situated approximately five miles west of Albufeira, less than two miles from the nearest most glorious sandy beach at Gale and approximately one mile from the nearest professional golf course. Our villa is ideally suited to those looking for a peaceful retreat and a taste of the 'real Algarve' yet only a 10 minute drive from all the amenities of the lively town of Albufeira.

| Kitchen: | Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer, kettle, juicer, toaster, coffee maker and washing machine which is housed in an outside enclosure. |
| Living Rooms: | Lounge/diner with a wood burning stove, comfortable 3 piece suite, satellite TV, video, DVD, radio/CD player. There are double doors which open onto a narrow terrace. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and towels are provided (except beach towels) and there is a daily maid service (except Sun). |
Notes on accommodation
Our villa is equipped with air conditioning which also provides heating during the winter months, which along with the wood burning stove makes this a cosy and warm villa for a holiday in the winter months. Due to the high running costs of the air conditioning in the summer months there is a nominal charge of 20 Euros per week payable locally should you wish to use this facility.

Outside
There is a secluded breakfast area to the side of the villa and a large roof terrace which is completely unoverlooked and has wonderful views across the valley and out towards the sea. The terrace is equipped with sun loungers, tables & chairs and a built-in bar-b-que.
The Quinta has two shared swimming pools as shown in the pictures, the larger pool has a separate shallow end and adjacent to this is a small garden area for children, complete with paddling pool, slide, roundabout and swings.
The smaller pool is usually very quiet a great place to relax and unwind. There is a pool bar open in the Summer season and a further restaurant and bar open for lunch and dinner.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is less than two miles away at Gale where you may choose from a small rocky cove or a glorious long stretch of sand. Both beaches have excellent facilities providing showers/wc/baby change/life guard/restaurant/bar snacks/watersports, however those looking for something less commercialised, just a short stroll further along the beach it becomes much quieter and even in August you can escape the crowds.
Golf
Because of the central location of our villa in the Algarve it is ideally situated for those looking to play golf. With the nearest professional course being approximately one mile away and many other courses within a 30 minute drive.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro which is approximately 40 minutes drive. Car hire would be highly recommended to make the most from your holiday.
Distances
Because of the central location of our villa and the extension of the new motorway it is possible to take a day trip by car almost anywhere in the Algarve.
Places of interest include;
The historic town of Silves - 30 mins
Monchique mountains - 40 mins
Sagres, the most Westerly point of the Algarve - 1Hr 30min
Albufeira, for lively nightlife - 10 mins
Algarve shopping, a huge indoor shopping mall, cinema and bowling alley - 15 mins
Further details
Other facilities on the Quinta include, a hard tennis court, mini golf, table tennis & petanque. Also the Quinta has it's very own riding stables, where they have horses suitable for any level of rider. For the complete beginner or those with experience you may choose from a private lesson in the riding arena or a hack through the countryside and across the sand dunes. For those who enjoy country walks and nature there is a wetlands nature reserve nearby with a wealth of bird and plant life, Flamingos are commonly seen here. There are plenty of local restaurants to choose from with a wide variety of taste, all within 3-15 minutes drive, if you do not wish to drive there is a taxi service available.
