Situated on an olive farm 5K inland from Costa Dorada. Adjacent to but screened from owners house in a tranquil setting amongst olive and orange groves, with views of the Ebro Delta and mountains. An ideal place to unwind and recharge your batteries, or if you are thinking buying property in the area, a taste of life on a working olive farm. The property is run and maintained by Gloria and Brian Pike, who retired here 5 years ago.

Prices for the property are per weeks in UK pounds.
£100 cheque to secure booking. This will be held as a security/deposit and returned at the end of your stay. Full cash payment in euros at the current exchange rate is due on arrival. During winter months gas and firewood can be provided at cost.
Changeover day
Saturday, departure time 10am, arrival time 4pm, although we will try to be flexible.

Outside
Large mature gardens, patio with garden table, chairs, small BBQ and solar shower. Use of owners swimming pool by arrangement.
Coast/Beach
Excellent local beaches within 20 minutes drive.
Travel
1 hour drive from Reus Airport, served by Ryan air and Thompson's, and 2 hours from Barcelona. The excellent AP7 motorway (Toll) brings you to within 10 minutes of the property from both airports. A car is essential.
Distances
Easy access to the Costa Dorada for beaches. The nearby River Ebro is world renowned for its fishing, and the Ebro Delta is a bird watchers paradise. The river and mountains provide a wonderful setting for walking, sight seeing, bird watching, photography, painting and sketching. There are many small villages where you can purchase pottery, cheese, honey, cured ham and handicrafts, or you can dine out and sample the local cuisine. Typically a 3 course lunch with wine costs from 8 to 13 euros.
Further details
There are many good supermarkets in the area, so shopping for food is not a problem. Tip: if you enjoy a good 'cuppa' bring your own teabags as they are difficult to find and expensive here! Tortosa, the nearest large town/city has many modern shops and markets, or you can stroll around the old part of the town and see the Castle and Cathedral. Port Adventura theme park is 45 minutes drive away. L'Aldea is the nearest village, and there you will find banks, chemists, a small supermarket, bars, and emergency medical treatment. (Dont forget to bring your E111 or equivalent.)

A £100 cheque to confirm booking. This will be held as a security/damages deposit and returned to you at the end of your stay. Full cash payment in euros at the current exchange rate is due on arrival. We can provide a 'starter Pack' of basic foodstuffs, i.e. bread. margarine, milk, drinking water, cheese, bacon, eggs, cereals etc. for an additional 15 euros. A complimentary bottle of Cava and a fruit basket will await your arrival.
