Villa Don Carlos is a beautiful traditional Spanish villa with 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 4-6 people. Modern and comfortable living space. Outside, a covered breakfast/dining area leads to a large sunny terrace and garden with a private pool. Mature palm trees provide partial shade. Our corner position on Empuriabrava’s extensive canal system includes a 15m mooring. A quiet, relaxing location in this family seaside resort which is close to shops, restaurants, sporting facilities and the lively town centre.

Towels and linen are available for hire. Towel: large 6 euros, small 4 euros. Double bed 24 euros, single 12 euros. The villa will be cleaned at the start of your stay and will be cleaned after you have departed for an additional charge of 80 euros. |
Notes on accommodation
The bedroom in 1st floor tower has its own secure access via outside stairs from the front door. The stairs are behind a locked side gate. Access to the property is secured by additional locked gates. Air conditioning/heating units are fitted in both bedrooms and in the main living area, and an additional charge of 80 euros per week is made for their use. The villa is ideal for families, however, as there is open access to the pool and canal it is advisable that small children (non-swimmers) are supervised.

Outside
Private pool (6m x 4m) for sole use of guests. Large, south facing patio area in the sun all day. Natural shade provided by mature palm trees. Sun loungers and reclining chairs for relaxing. Semi-covered terrace with patio table and chairs. Corner position with 15m private mooring on a wide canal, giving waterway access to Empuriabrava marina and the Bay of Roses. Private parking is available at the front of the property.
Coast/Beach
Empuriabrava has a long sandy beach which gently slopes down to the sea. The beach is a short drive (2km) or around 25 mins level walk. Other beaches in the Bay of Roses, including Sant Marti with its Roman ruins, can easily be reached by car in under 30 mins.
Golf
There are several high quality courses nearby, including Peralada (10km) designated the best course on the Costa Brava many times. Pitch and putt is also available locally.
Skiing
Skiing in the eastern Pyrenees at Nuria and Vallter 2000 is under 2 hours drive away.
Special interest holidays
Empuriabrava is Europe's largest residential marina. With your own boat or a locally chartered boat you can visit many of the interesting bays and ports on the Costa Brava. Small unlicensed boats are available to hire in Empuriabrava for exploring the canal system. The villa has a 15m mooring.
Skydiving is a popular pursuit in Empuriabrava with a leading school nearby.
Travel
Nearest airport is Girona (60km, 45mins) which is served by Ryanair. Other local airports include Perpignan, France (70km, 50mins) and Barcelona (150km, 2hrs). Channel ports are around 12 hours drive (750 miles) away. Car hire is reasonably priced here and, while not essential, is recommended to make the most of your stay.
Distances
The medieval town of Castello d'Empuries is less than 5 km away. Figueres 12 km, Cadaques 25 km, Girona 50 km.
Further details
With Roman history and Salvador Dali connections, the nearby towns of Roses, Figueres, Cadaques, and Girona are excellent for cultural visits. El Bulli, one of the world’s best restaurants, is located just around the headland 20 mins drive away. The River Muga and Aiguamolls nature reserve borders Empuriabrava with walking and cycle paths. The centre of the resort has a good selection of shops, banks, restaurants, bars and a night club. Bowling, go-karts, mini golf, butterfly farm and Aqua Brava waterpark are all nearby. Watersports are available on the main beach. A large supermarket with bakery is less than 5 mins walk from the villa.

25% deposit required at time of booking. Balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Refundable 300 euros accidental damage deposit required.
