The apartment is located in the centre of Sitges and only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach. Sitges itself is a mere 30 minute car or train journey to the popular historic city of Tarragona and 20 minutes to Barcelona. It is also very close to the centre of the Cava industry in Vilafranca. The Penedes Wine Region is also a short drive away. Cordoniu, the famous Cava making family, offer free tours in English every day. The well known Benedictine Monastery, Montserrat is a wonderful day trip. There are several way-marked routes through the Garraf and through the wine regions. Completely renovated and has been finished to a very high standard and includes underfloor heating, air-conditioning, plasma screen TV, DVD player and USB connection (iPods and MP3s). Everything provided including sheets and towels. Airport pick-up provided for small extra fee, so no need to rent a car.

Coast/Beach
A mere 5 minute walk to the beach. Once there you have 4km of sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a prom to walk. Halfway through your walk, enjoy a glass of cava in the bar, revive your energy and continue the walk home. Want to do more than walk? You can try your hand at windsurfing, sailing, jet skiing (all available for rental) and swimming in the clear blue seas. Every little beach has its own bar and cafe.
Travel
Barcelona airport is a 20 minute drive from Sitges. The airport has a very good bus and train service to Sitges. The bus leaves every hour and there is a train every 10 mins. The normal taxi fare between 50 and 55 euros. Girona Airport is 2 hours by public transport. Reus Airport is 1 hour by public transport. Once here, car hire is not essential as trains leave Sitges every 15 mins for Barcelona.
Distances
The apartment is in centre of Sitges which is a 20 mins drive to Villafranca (centre of Penedes wine industry) and St Sadurni (which is the centre of Cava Industry). Both of these charming towns have many wineries offering tours etc. We are also about 50 mile drive from Port Aventura which is a children's paradise and 20 mile drive from Aqualeon which is a fantastic water park and zoo combined. The monastery of Montserrat is an hour's drive away.
Further details
Situated in the centre of Sitges, all banks, shops, bars and restaurants are within 2 minute walking distance. A bowling alley and crazy golf are also close by.
