The interior of this charming, comfortable flat has been entirely rebuilt and is on the 1st floor of a typical neighbourhood building in the old centre of Barcelona. The street is relatively quiet (there is a traffic restriction scheme) but is central and close to many galleries, museums, restaurants and bars. There is a balcony overlooking the street from the living area. Located in the barrio of El Raval - a satisfying mix of tradition and innovation - the area is an excellent base for visiting all the many and varied sights that Barcelona has to offer. The famous 'Ramblas' and Plaza Catalunya are 10 minutes walk away and just 5 minutes from the door there are metro, bus and train connections to all parts of town and the rest of Catalunya.

Changeover day
As long as we know what time to expect you there are no fixed arrival times. If you see that a considerable delay is likely when you arrive at your airport, a phone call or text message is much appreciated.

Coast/Beach
The beach of Barcelona (good for swimming) is a 25 minute walk or short bus ride from the apartment. Out of town beaches (Sitges, Gava, Castelldefels, Caldetas, Costa Brava) are all easily reached by frequent trains and buses.
Travel
Barcelona airport is 20 minutes away by taxi or 30 minutes on public transport. The Aerobus stop at Plaza Universitat is 4 minutes walk to the door. The airport train stops at Sants and Paseo de Gracia. Girona airport is an hour's coach ride and leaves you at Estacio del Nord, from where you take taxi or metro from Arc de Triomf. Reus airport is a 75 minute journey by coach to Sants central station. From there you must take taxi, metro or bus (15 minutes to the apartment).
Further details
