Rent a holiday home in Lungern - Marvellous view of the lake. In our holiday domicile in house "Güpfi" you can´t hear any traffic noise, although it´s only few minutes´walk to the village. There are several kinds of shops, banks, restaurants, cafe´s and a doctor. From the patio you have a marvellous view of lake Lungern and the surrounding panoramic mountains. The convenient train connection to Luzern and then to Lungern by ´Brünigbahn´offers our traintravelling guests a good opportunity. The footpath to our house is about 656 feet! From Lungern you can go on wonderful excursions to Luzern, Interlaken, Bern a.s.o. in a lookout wagon of the SSB.(Railway of Switzerland) Another possibility: by car-train to Basel, then it takes 70 - 90 minutes´drive to Lungern. Railway and model-railway fans receive special information (for example the traffic museum in Luzern, the model-railway station in Interlaken), please request!

No changeover on Sundays. Arrival time is 3:00 pm and departure by 10.00 am.

Coast/Beach
10 minutes' walk to lake Lungern. It's one of the cleanest lake in the world. The water is of drinking quality.
Skiing
In winter, Lungern-Schönbüel is a paradise for old and young fans of wintersports: the Swiss skiing school, the snow park, cross - country ski runs, trips in snowboots, nice walking paths, a modern mountain railway and family friendly ski passes.

Further details
Families are always welcome in Lungern. 750 metres above sea level, situated between Luzern and Interlaken. In summer you can go on wonderful hikes lake Lungern, to the village or to the high mountains. Those who want to explore the mountain world by train can be taken 2100 m up to Schönbüel to go on a walk on the high plateau and enjoy the terrific view of the Eiger / Mönch and Jungfrau area. There are lots of things to discover for children (and parents): the open-air museum in Ballenberg, the crystal museum, the gorge of Aare, The traffic house in Luzern, boat excursions on different lakes, going on a tour by the Brienzer Rothorn train in connection with the SBB, guided hiking, visiting the place where Alp cheese is being produced and the great variety of sportive possibilities.
