Villa Melissa is a large house comprising 2 self-contained luxury apartments which have been equipped to a very high specification. It is set in a large walled garden containing 50 sq. metre private pool, a marbled terrace and numerous orange, lemon and pomegranate trees. It is situated in a quiet part of Dalyan, surrounded by mountains and adjacent to a cotton field. It is a 10 minute flat walk to the heart of Dalyan.

First floor apartment:- 2 bedrooms, lounge/diner,kitchen and 2 toilet/shower rooms (1 ensuite to main bedroom). Two bedrooms (air-conditioned) Bedroom 1 - with kingsize bed, double wardrobe, set of 3 drawers, wall mirror and bedside cabinet. Bedroom 2 - with twin beds, double wardrobe, wall mirror and bedside cabinet. Large lounge/diner (air-conditioned), 2 sofa beds, 2 Ikea armchairs, nest of tables, CD player and table lamp, floor lamp, dining table and 6 chairs. TV and DVD player. Kitchen - fully furnished modern kitchen with fridge/freezer, hob (3 gas rings 1 electric) and oven with overhead extractor fan, electric kettle and toaster. 2 shower rooms (1 en-suite to main bedroom), both with shower,toilet, basin, mirror and shaving point. Other: 2 verandas with table and chairs on front and side. Linen/laundry etc: Linen and towels are provided for inside the villa but guests to bring own beach/pool towels. Iron/ironing board and hairdryer are provided. |

Notes on accommodation
The apartments are identical except that apartment 2 has a larger lounge area, two balconies, a TV and DVD player, and an oven (as well as a hob).
Strictly no smoking inside the apartments. Fresh bedlinen and towels are provided weekly. Additional maid service can be arranged, payable locally, please enquire. There is a small utility room which houses the washing machine which can be used by both apartments.
Outside
The villa is set in large gardens front and back, which are planted with lots of mature fruit trees, shrubs and grapevines. Both apartments have direct access to the marbled terrace which is part-shaded by the attractive pergola and leads to the pool which is 10m x 5m x 1.5m deep. There are 8 cushioned sunbeds available (and 4 parasols).
There is a stone built BBQ and 2 picnic tables (as well as outside lighting for evening meals on the terrace). From the front balcony of apartment 2 there is a view towards the famous Dalyan Rock tombs.
Coast/Beach
You can get to the 5 km long Iztuzu Beach (which is ranked 6th in the world) either on the half hourly buses from Dalyan which takes you through the hills to the far end of the beach (taking 10 mins). Alternatively you can take one of the 'cooperative' boats which take the river down through the reeds to the sea (taking 30 mins). Tickets are very reasonable by both methods.
Travel
The newly opened terminal at Dalaman is only 30 minutes away. Cost for a return taxi fare is around £40.
A hired car is not really necessary. There is a good local bus service to neighbouring places of interest (Koycegiz, Fethiye, Ortaca etc.) with a variety of day trips available.
Distances
It is a 10 minute flat walk to the centre of Dalyan.
From the town the ruins at Kaunos are a quick river crossing and a 20 min walk away.
Further details
Dalyan remains relatively undiscovered and retains lots of its traditional Turkish hospitality and charm. It stands on the banks of the river which runs from the beautiful Koycegiz lake, past the rock tombs and through the reeds to the Iztuzu beach and the Mediterranean Sea.
The colourful Saturday market has fresh produce and spices as well as bargain fashion accessories and jewellery. The town has a wide range of shops and well-priced restaurants which cater for every taste. There are also some quality supermarkets, butchers, fish mongers and bread shops for those who prefer to cook for themselves. Dalyan feels a relaxed and safe environment and local people are both friendly and courteous.
There is a wide variety of activities and places of interest including:- turtle spotting, microlight flights, white water rafting and gorge walking, jeep safaris, water sports, fishing etc.There are boat trips from Gocek around the 12 islands, to Ekincik Caves and across the lake to the mud baths or Koycegiz market.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required at time of booking with the remainder due 8 weeks prior to departure. Cancellation charges :-
a) up to 8 weeks prior to departure -loss of deposit.
b) 4-8 weeks - 50% of rate refunded.
c) 2-4 weeks 25% of rate refunded.
d) Less than 2 weeks - no refund.
Security deposit of £100 required.
